Kate is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who blends history, memories, and music into the songs she writes. As the daughter of a Baptist preacher from Sledge, Mississippi, Kate’s formative years were spent in the very core of the civil rights movement of the 1960′s, and the indelible experiences of those years have shaped her heart, character and convictions. Kate tours extensively throughout the US at a wide variety of venues including storytelling festivals, and also in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
